Karnataka Integrated Development Services (KIDS)

KIDS (Karnataka Integrated Development Services) Dharwad is a non-profit voluntary registered trust working for the overall development of women and children in urban and rural areas of Dharwad district since 1994.
Our main area of Intervention is Child Rights, Women's Entrepreneurship Development, Education, Health, Income Generation, and Livelihood activities.
We covered:
Dharwad taluka of Dharwad district, 75 villages
Eight districts of North Karnataka for prevention child marriage lobby issue
Savadati block Belagavi
Nargund block , Gadag
Two blocks Haliyal and Mundgod block 28 villages

International Women's Day

International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day marks a call to action to accelerate gender equality. We celebrated in our office, Dharwad. More than 30 volunteers and SHG leaders attended the program.

Discussion with Auto Drivers

We discussed the problems of auto drivers, tourist guides, and fishermen and made them aware in Hampi.

Distribution of Snacks

We have distributed Iron Fortified Biscuits in remote areas of Dharwad. 50+ people were reached through this drive.

National Anti Malaria Month

National Anti-Malaria Month we celebrated every year from June 1 to June 30 to gear up against malaria, a disease spread by mosquito bites, and make every possible effort to prevent malaria before the arrival of monsoon in Dharwad.

Health Care

India is attracting global attention due to its profound political, economic and social transformation, which has significantly improved the living standards of its people. Rural population is affected by malaria, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, high blood pressure etc. We provide medical support to the poorest of the poor in remote areas.

Child Protection and Care

We work for holistic development and rehabilitation of children living in difficult socio-economic and personal circumstances. Ensure that children enjoy their constitutional rights and eradicate the system of child labor. Organized many child labor awareness programs and educational motivation programs in Dharwad.

Women Empowerment through SHGs

SHG plays an important role in making more women form SHGs and realize its importance in their empowerment. It helps women in collective decision-making and increases women's confidence and capabilities. These groups go a long way in motivating women to take up social responsibilities especially those related to women's development. SHGs are considered the most important vehicle for adopting a partnership approach for the economic empowerment of women. Every month we conduct a meeting with the members of SHGs in Dharwad.
